Join the CWBA and Colorado Lawyers Committee’s (CLC) Young Lawyers Division (YLD) for this month’s program featuring U.S. District Court Judge Christine Arguello.
CLC's YLD "Lunches with Legends" series features prominent members of the Colorado legal community discussing topics and answering questions related to the young lawyer experience, including a dialogue on early career advice, practice tips, and other topics suggested by attendees. The March 10th program will feature United States District Court Judge Christine Arguello, the first Hispanic United States District Court Judge for the District of Colorado. She was inducted into the Colorado Women's Hall of Fame in 2014. Judge Arguello will be speaking about her own journey and the importance of education, advocacy, and public service.
The CWBA will be partnering with CLC YLD this quarter to feature its grant program which funds YLD members who are making a difference for children and the underserved through education, advocacy, and systemic change. Members may apply for grants up to $1,000 to help defray costs in pro bono representation, fund materials or space for clinics or other direct services, or provide scholarships for trainings that assist lawyers in providing pro bono services.
